Sunwell recipes and crafted gear (submitted by Othinn at 11:05am EST) Given the uber drop rate for patterns in Sunwell, and the fact that in many cases they represent best in slot upgrades, we will be treating them differently than other pattern drops. The following will now apply: - patterns that create BoP items are done by dkp and cost the value of the item they create - patterns that create BoE items are done by /random - crafted BoE gear that requires sunmotes will cost the receiver of the item the dkp cost of the item In the case that you need sunmotes for a crafted peice that is being crafted by someone outside the guild, then the guild will assist with the crafting costs (within reason). All such crafting requests should be directed through Sanctus. |

Sunwell Loot Trade-ins (submitted by Othinn at 12:21pm EST) Sunwell has introduced the concept of an exchange program for selected items. With the drop and a sunmote you are able to trade in/up to a similar item but for a different spec. While this is a fantastic way of providing some fexibility with drops, Blizzard has also complicated it slightly by generally making the new item an actually upgrade (higher ilevel). Why is this relevant? Because the DKP value of an item is based on its ilevel. So the trade in loot is actually an upgrade from the item looted and so worth more DKP. This does make some sense when you consider that you are spending a sunmote to get the new loot item. To allow for this within the DKP system the following will now apply. If you receive an item on the basis that you will trade it in (with sunmote) for a new item your DKP charge (and the item recorded) will be the trade-in/upgrade item not the actual item looted. Any questions please post in the DKP forum thread. |

Standby DKP and Sunwell Progression (submitted by Othinn at 11:53am EST) Standby as a concept exists to reward people for being prepared and ready to step in as and when required. With farm content I have been generally flexible on standby dkp ... however for Sunwell progression content standby implies a higher degree of availability and participation. In short you should be on vent and listening to the raid as a minimum. Ideally I would prefer people to actually be in the raid as a lot of information is shared in raid and class channels. Strategies will continue to evolve so being only contactable by phone / on another toon / etc means you're not really participating in the raid. So when you do get rotated in we either have to take the time to update you or you're going to get it wrong. To make it simple ... I am going to follow the principle from this point forward ... If you're not in the raid and vent unless you have told me directly (via whisper or vent) how you can be contacted (and I agree to that as being acceptable) I will consider you ineligible for standby. I have had numerous past occasions where people have complained to me with "I asked sanctus /barnies/ dershivar and he told me it was ok" etc etc. I am the only person at this point that is updating dkp if I don't know the reason I will assume you're not available. Cut out the middlemen and talk to me directly |

DKP Access (submitted by Komodo at 10:47am EST) Contact Othinn/Kalliope/Ruadan in game or via the forums for access AFTER you have registered. Generally speaking DKP is updated as a raid progresses with the exception of Hyjal. So do not expect DKP to be accurate (as in up to date) on a night where we have run Hyjal. On these occassions DKP will be updated most likely the following day, and will be current prior to the starting of the next raid. If you have questions or queries regarding DKP please wait until at least an hour before the start of the next raid as I may be working on updates. Please note it is your responsibility to ensure your dkp is accurate. I do my best but I do make mistakes. I am happy to make corrections up to a week historically but I am not prepared to make changes further in the past. |
